General Hotel Management (GHM), a leading creator of stylish hotels and resorts around the world, announces the signing of The Chedi Wadi Safar in one of the most beautiful natural areas in the Drayiyah region of Saudi Arabia.
In line with the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 goals, the Diriyah Gate Development Authority (DGDA) has added the Chedi brand to its impressive portfolio of the world’s most iconic hotel brands in Wadi Safar.
GHM will complement DGDA in transforming Diriyah into a premier destination for local and international tourists seeking world-class cultural and lifestyle experiences, while offering a wealth of leisure, retail and top dining options.
Chedi Wadi Safar is strategically located in one of Saudi Arabia’s most important heritage and cultural destinations. The project leverages its rich history and the centuries-old At-Turaif UNESCO World Heritage Site to become one of the world’s foremost integrated historical, cultural and lifestyle destinations.
This is also the world’s first gigabit project that opens at the same time every year and announces world-class assets. After the project is completed, a total of 38 international hotel operators have been introduced. Chedi Wadi Safar and 15 other hotel brands were announced in a late November 2022 announcement and will be located in two masterplans in DGDA – Diriyah and Wadi Safar.
“Diriya is the birthplace of Saudi Arabia and the capital of the first Saudi state. In line with Vision 2030, we are working hard to position this iconic site as a modern center of historical and cultural experience and a meeting place for the world’s greatest one,” said DGDA Group CEO Jerry Inzerillo.

Diriyah is currently in the first phase of construction and the 14 square kilometer project will include various museums and galleries for cultural exploration and education. According to the DGDA’s contribution mission to Vision 2030, it aims to support the National Tourism Strategy to receive 100 million tourists worldwide by 2030, with Diriyah aiming to attract more than 27 million tourists per year. – trade arab news agency
