Battle Rounds has begun on NBC’s Season 23 soundviewers have heard some delicious rumble.

“You have a very special gift,” Kelly Clarkson told Miles, an 18-year-old Sacramento, California native.
Banham, 24, of Windermere, Fla., has a voice that “breaks my heart,” she added. The words of praise are endless. Together, “Ladies, you have great taste in music,” Clarkson enthused, “and your voices sound amazing together.”
“It’s about as close as we can get to,” said Blake Shelton, who said he’s never heard anything quite like Miles. “Man, Gina,” the country star said, “think of your voice on a record doing all those weird things you can do.” That made it pretty clear where his vote was going.
Niall Horan has made a difficult decision that he admits has given him sleepless nights. He admits that pairing artists is like shooting yourself in the foot. In the end, the Irish chose Miles.
But wait, there’s more.
Clarkson activated one of her steals with a trigger finger during the game. The Banham game continues.
“Who cares about Neil? Welcome to Team Kelly,” she said.
In doing so, she turned an earlier loss into a victory. Clarkson had tried to secure Banham’s service during the blind draft until Horan “blocked” her.
