Gitex Global, which ended in Dubai on Friday, has been one of the biggest tech events in the UAE, and this year’s event exceeded expectations.

The UAE government sector has been showcasing its latest innovations and technological advancements, giving people a glimpse into the future of the country.

Digital Dubai’s vision to make Dubai the happiest city on earth has united five key technology organisations under one umbrella.

Cloudera, a hybrid data cloud management platform, has been assisting Dubai’s digital journey, providing valuable insights to help the city’s strategy become more data-driven.

For Cloudera, the UAE is not only an important market, but also the flagship country of the six-nation Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region.

As part of assisting Dubai’s digital transformation, Cloudera has been prioritizing giving customers more attention amid increasing competition in other key markets. The company also ensures that UAE use cases are exported from the UAE to help us improve and develop better products.

Additionally, Cloudera plans to increase its investment in the UAE and work with local cloud providers to understand how they implement Cloudera’s technology and deliver products through its network.

The company’s main product on Gitex this year is Cloudera Data Platform One (CDP One). All-in-one data lake library software-as-a-service (SaaS) offering enables quick and easy self-service analysis and exploratory data science on any type of data. This is Cloudera’s flagship announcement, along with other key partnerships that have been announced at Gitex Global, notably with the UAE government.

Cloudera is looking for anything data-driven, especially from governments, which are increasingly using data as an enabler for their services.

Digital Dubai has been a leader in innovation and is key to Cloudera’s vision for the region. Cloudera aims to enable its customers and partners to use technology to capitalize on innovation, and their partnership with Dubai Digital presents a great opportunity for companies to showcase how other organizations can use their products to drive their data agendas.

“We are delighted to be partnering with Digital Dubai at this year’s Gitex for the second year in a row. At Gitex, we aim to be close to the public sector as they are leaders in digital transformation with initiatives that enable organisations to use data to achieve their goals,” Karim Azar, Regional Vice President of Cloudera Middle East and Turkey said.

Cloudera wants to help the country realize its vision to become more technology-driven.
