Global Village, the leading cultural, shopping and entertainment multicultural family destination in the UAE and the wider region, announced two exciting international shows as part of the overcrowded entertainment schedule for season 26. From the end of October to the whole of November, thunderous beats took over the global village from the extraordinary percussion band AAINJAA from Bogota, Colombia. In December, Swing Latino will explode on the main stage, showcasing a dynamic performance of complex stage skills and amazing creativity.
Global Village Entertainment Director Sean Cornell said: “We are very happy to welcome AAINJAA and Swing Latino to the Global Village this season. These two groups are at the pinnacle of their expertise and we are very happy to be able to provide this level of entertainment in Season 26. Latin music. Full of vitality and passion, this is exactly the season we want to bring to the lineup. Music and dance are core components of culture and a key part of the journey of exploration that the global village brings to guests.”
The AAINJAA percussion band will add luster to the famous street atmosphere of the global village from October 29 to November 25, 2021.The band’s name roughly translates into English as “Do, craft, make and build.” These talented performers brought talent and fun to this performance of 30 artists dancing on the streets of the global village. AAINJAA uses many different types of percussion, including Cajas, Surdos, Repiniques, Brillos and Dobras. The performance was carefully choreographed, and the dancers swayed perfectly in sync with the beat.
AAINJA Director Homero Cortes Ordonez said: “We are very excited to perform in the 26th season of the Global Village. The park has a rich history and the charm of celebrating cultures from all over the world. AAINJAA represents a special part of South American culture and the differences that make us different. The team is now rehearsing for the very special performance they will provide in the global village, and can’t wait to perform in the Middle East for the first time.”
Nothing can make a visit to the global village more memorable than live salsa dancing and Cuban pop rhythms. Swing Latino is a sensation in Colombian salsa dancing. During the 2019 Super Bowl show, they made history in their performances behind superstars Jennifer Lopez and Shakira. Swing Latino will shock the senses in a three-week performance in the Global Village from December 7 to 31, 2021. Guests will marvel at the caleño dance style composed of anti-gravity routines and charming dance moves.
The band’s unique and energetic music creates the perfect backdrop for its salsa dancers, and this combination is sure to make the crowd pat their feet in time and waver. Their global performance includes being rated 1Yingshi Winning runner-up in the Dance World show, which in turn allowed them to perform on multiple occasions with international superstar Jennifer Lopez.
