It was August 2020, and some college students from Kansas City, Kansas, drove eight hours south to Dallas and never looked back, abandoning so-called normal careers along the way. Their intentions were both grandiose and unprecedented, a New Age pursuit that seemed impossible to legitimately achieve.
Five close friends, soon to be six — all powerful players who have fallen in love with golf despite years of indecision — hatched a plan to play professionally on YouTube as their full-time job.
They will profit from their golf explorations, challenges and competitions by breaking the fourth wall and warmly inviting the world to join them in their adventures as if you were right next to them. People would flock to see the real chemistry, feel like they’re playing alternate roles through a bunch of 20-somethings who encourage and tease their collaborators, and it feels like a genuinely talented but not self-serious show Buddy trip, golfer.
