The General Pensions and Social Security Administration (GPSSA), in partnership with several government and private sector entities, has launched the ‘Basmat Wafa’ project, which offers various privileges to pensioners as a token of appreciation for their national service.
Basmat Wafa (known in English as “Loyalty Fingerprint”) is the second transformation project announced by GPSSA this year, following the “Shourak” initiative. Both projects were introduced as part of a major performance agreement initiated by the federal and government authorities to increase national competitiveness and introduce forward-looking projects by implementing the myth of excellence.
To access the available discounts and offers, pensioners and their families must log into the ‘Basmat Wafa’ app via the Android and Apple Stores using their digital IDs. Applications for the first phase include Etihad Aviation Group, flydubai, Abdul Wahid Al Rostamani Group, Al Ghandi Automotive Group, Burjeel Holdings Group, PJSC (du), Al Tadawi Healthcare LLC Group, Royal Gym and Jabal Offers offered by Arafat tailoring company etc.
GPSSA-affiliated pensioners are offered services by application and concessions are offered to their families on terms and conditions.
GPSSA’s ultimate goal is to strengthen efforts to support all segments of society through legislation and community-related initiatives, focusing on projects that have a social impact on people. It remains committed to encouraging a variety of measures to help improve the quality of life of its customers.
The UAE Pensions Authority calls on all organizations to cooperate to provide more privileges to pensioners and their families as there are currently 46,569 pensioners and beneficiaries registered with GPSSA and the number is growing.
