Groundbreaking drone logistics service set to fly high in Abu Dhabi

ABU DHABI – Maqta Gateway, the digital arm of AD Ports Group, Emirates Post Group, the official UAE postal operator, and SkyGo, an air logistics provider, will try a new initiative that will offer comprehensive aerial drone deliveries and Abu Dhabi’s other service.

The three organisations will collaborate on a pilot programme that will deploy aerial drones to deliver packages and documents to designated Emirates Post sites in the emirate of Abu Dhabi. Starting with excursions, the program will expand to remote testing, improving the ability to assess needs and understand wider interests.

The goal is to provide a sustainable, user-friendly service that can quickly ship vital medical supplies, fresh food, and emergency documents, while providing real-time tracking.

Maqta Gateway will deploy its integrated digital marketplace, Margo Hub, to facilitate online transactions between customers and Emirates Post Group, which will manage services and provide tracking and status updates, while SkyGo provides drone solutions.

By supporting this project, we believe we can ease road congestion and reduce fuel consumption for last-mile deliveries.
