Guggenheim Abu Dhabi showcases works by contemporary artists Howard Napindell and Khalil Rabah

Latest Abu Dhabi Guggenheim video series ‘Spotlight’ showcases collections Tarot: The Hanged Man Groundbreaking work by Howardena Pindell and Khalil Rabah Palestine Museum of Natural History and Humanity / Summer 2011 Newsletter.

Provide viewers with an up-close personal view of Pindell’s work, Tarot: The Hanged Man, currently on loan at Fruitmarket in Edinburgh, Scotland, the video will provide an exclusive overview and synopsis of works by experts, including African-American contemporary artist Howardena Pindellherself. The video explores the work through multiple voices and different perspectives, giving viewers an insight into the depth and complexity of the work. Speakers, including Fruitmarket Director Fiona Bradley and Associate Director Naomi Beckwith, and Solomon R. Guggenheim Foundation’s Jennifer and David Stockman Chief Curators, also described Pindell’s dedication and determination to advocacy, community building, and her life Commit to the role of educator.

A selection of works currently on display at the Sharjah Art Foundation is Rabah’s Endless Project, Palestine Museum of Natural History and Humanity, is the one that started in 2003 and continues to this day.This video provides the viewer with a rich understanding of the Rabah National Museum of Fantasy and its layers, one of which is in the form of an appendix 2011 Summer Newsletter, It explores the ways of spatializing and humanizing the museum and the ideas it represents. The video from artist Khalil Rabah himself also includes insights from Sheikha Nawar Al Qassimi, Vice President of Sharjah Art Foundation, and Reem Fadda, Director and Consultant of Guggenheim Abu Dhabi Cultural Foundation, both of which give viewers a deeper understanding of Rabah’s Museum of Mirage.
