Hala Badri visits a metro station participating in the “Art of Public Transport” initiative – Dubai Blog

To celebrate the creativity of artists participating in the “Art of Public Transport” initiative initiated by the Dubai Roads and Transport Authority and the Dubai Culture and Arts Authority (Dubai Culture), Hala Badri, Cultural Director of Dubai, Visited the Jebel Ali and Dubai Investment Park subway stations, two of which displayed artworks participating in the project. “Public Transport Art” is part of the Public Transport Day event on November 1st, with the theme of “Joining Hands to Participate in Expo 2020 Dubai”.

The “Art in Public Transport” initiative aims to provide everyone with access to art and culture, support Dubai’s cultural and creative sectors, and provide opportunities for talents, whether citizens or residents, can initiate and help consolidate Dubai’s status Initiatives and ideas. In addition to the collaboratively produced sculptural digital art works, there were also the participation of Jassim Alawadhi, Tawfeeq Zakaria and Dr. Ahmad Aldosari ARHEAD is a company specializing in digital art based on augmented reality.

Dubai Culture nurtures creative talents and supports the cultural diversity of the emirate, which helps strengthen the capacity of the cultural and creative sector as a tributary of the local economy.
