HALE – Dinner, drinks, charitable donations and more are just one of the festivities at the annual Hale Lions raffle dinner.
The event will start at 5pm on Saturday, September 24th at Eagle Pointe Plaza. The building is located at 415 E. Main St., a short distance from the M-65 in downtown Hale.
The $100 ticket is for two people and includes dinner and drinks.
Cheryl McDonell, treasurer of Hale Lions Club, added that Swine Meister BBQ will be catering for the meal, noting that several other activities will also be part of the entertainment.
In addition to the silent auction baskets that attendees can bid on, she said many prizes will be awarded and a 50/50 raffle will be held throughout the evening.
Prizes include the chance to win multiple $100 prizes, a $50 last call bonus, or a $3,000 grand prize. MacDonald explained that the grand prize will be awarded on a “last man” basis, which means the last three usually take home $1,000 each.
Tickets for the 2022 event are available from Hale Lions Club members or by calling 989-728-4273.
No donation is too big or too small, and anyone wishing to donate to the raffle dinner can call 989-728-2630 for more details. Delegates suggested that all proceeds from the auction would be used to support local programs and services.
The Hale Lions Club has served the region for over 63 years and its members are very active in the local community. According to their website, this includes supporting youth groups, awarding scholarships to Hale High School students, assisting local and Lions charities, helping hearing and visually impaired individuals, providing eye assessments for preschoolers and providing a variety of services to Enhance the Hale area for the benefit of residents and visitors.
