Led by His Majesty the King’s Representative for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs, Royal Endurance Team Captain His Highness Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa will today compete in the 160km race of the FEI Endurance World Championships.
126 jockeys from 36 countries will take part in the event, which will be held at the Butheeb International Endurance Village in Abu Dhabi.
HH Shaikh Nasser attended the veterinary check-up yesterday and led the final training before the competition in the presence of His Highness Sheikh Khalid, First Vice-Chairman of the Supreme Council of Youth and Sports (SCYS), Chairman of the General Directorate of Sports and Chairman of the Bahrain Olympic Committee Bin Hamad Al Khalifa; Vice-Chairman of the Supreme Council for the Environment, Vice-Chairman of the Higher Committee of Rashid Equestrian and Jockey Club, member of SCYS Sheikh Faisal bin Rashid Al-Khalifa His Highness; and Ayman Al-Moayed, Secretary General of SCYS.
On this occasion, HH Shaikh Nasser asserted that the FEI Endurance World Championships presents a new opportunity for the Royal Endurance Team to excel, noting that the team has the continued support of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa The attention, as well as the unwavering support of His Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, has led to recent positive results for endurance sports in Bahrain at the world and European level.
