Higher Education Expo Najah returns to Abu Dhabi and Dubai

The 16th edition of Najah, a higher education expo supported by the Ministry of Education, will take place in October, offering participants new features and more accessible opportunities.

Najah Abu Dhabi will be held at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre from 16-18 October, while Najah Dubai will be held at the Dubai World Trade Centre from 23-25 ​​October.

Founded 15 years ago, Najah has seen the participation of more than 100 universities from over 20 countries and receives over 16,000 visitors each year. The event curates a higher education journey that covers everything from admissions counseling and scholarship opportunities to study abroad and alumni experiences.

A number of well-known local and international universities and institutions have confirmed their participation in this year’s Naj Abu Dhabi and Naj Dubai. Participating local universities include Khalifa University, Zayed University, United Arab Emirates University, Labdan College, University of Sharjah, Sorbonne University Abu Dhabi, Mohammed bin Rashid University of Medicine and Health Sciences, Mohammed Bin Zayed Humanities University et al.

On an international level, leading universities from the US, Canada, UK, Australia, Japan, Singapore, Malaysia and across Europe will be exhibiting. Embassy representatives and educational advisors will also be present to advise on options, visa processes and travel.

Najah has added a set of new features to enhance students’ journey through the activity. This includes:

• The Success Hub, designed to provide prospective students with the knowledge and tools they need to choose their personal “path to college.” A range of topics like breaking the Ivy League, choosing your dream college, preparing for an interview, applying for an application, getting a scholarship or even a side hustle, and honing your public speaking skills, will be discussed through a set of panel discussions, workshops and keynote speeches.
• For staff, postgraduates or researchers aiming to improve their academic research skills, the online platform Emirates Scholars Research Centre will connect scholars with like-minded users, allowing them to gain knowledge through networking and learning. It will also give them free access to research catalogs, publish their manuscripts in select journals, and even receive funding for further development if needed.
• Designed for school counselors and educators, the School Counselor Forum will explore a variety of higher education topics and trends, providing valuable networking and learning opportunities with some of the biggest names in the industry.
• The board game club is designed to develop skills such as critical thinking, problem solving, analytical skills and time management.
• Middle East Film and Comic Con will provide visitors with a window into the creative world of manga, anime, film, gaming and cosplay.
