Hilton Abu Dhabi Yas Island to Host ‘Top 50 Best Flavors’ Event

The second MENA 50 Restaurants 2023 will be held in Abu Dhabi and the prestigious list will be revealed at a star-studded awards ceremony on the 30thday January 2023.The stylish Hilton Abu Dhabi Yas Island will be celebrating the occasion in partnership with four of the renowned ’50 Best’ chefs, presenting their best at a special evening brunch at Graphos Social Kitchen on the 28th dishesday January 2023.

Foodies have the opportunity not only to experience gourmet cuisine prepared by talented world-renowned chefs, but also to meet them. Kol’s international rising star, chef and owner, santiago lastra, will kick off the evening with a signature dish that combines British produce with Mexican flavours. Kol is London’s restaurant of choice, and within two years of opening it made it to the expanded 2022 World’s 50 Best Restaurants list for the first time at number 73.

Subsequently, one of Japan’s most respected chefs, River hand Bokang will take the stage and serve dishes representative of his modern French-Japanese cuisine. Kawate is the chef and owner of Tokyo’s Florilège restaurant: No. 3 on the 2022 Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants list, and earlier this year entered the World’s 50 Best Restaurants list for the first time at No. 30.

Chef Colagreco, a sustainability champion known for inventing colorful and patterned dishes with texture and bold contrast, will showcase his talents on plates for the assembled diners.

For those with a sweet tooth, Queen of Pastry Yang Meila Will provide an indulgent treat. Chef Yang, who currently holds the title of Asia’s Best Pastry Chef 2022, recently hosted a dedicated dessert lounge at Cloudstreet in Singapore, which was ranked 44th on Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants list.

also, Patrick Pistolesi, co-owner and head bartender at Drink Kong in Rome, will be serving delicious cocktails to end the evening. Pistolesi’s cocktail menu is simple and bold, mixing 70s futurism, King Kong and Japanese influences. He has won several international bartending competitions and was also responsible for opening the first dedicated gin bar in Italy.
