Hilton partnered with the Dubai Executive Council, the Ministry of Economy and Tourism and other major hotel companies to host the recent inaugural Hotel Industry Decision Makers Group event.
The event was held at the Hilton Dubai Palm Jumeirah.
International hotel companies that Hilton is partnering with for the event include Accor, InterContinental Hotels Group, Jumeirah Hotels & Resorts, Marriott International, Radisson Blu and Rotana Hotels & Resorts.
The first of its kind for the hospitality industry in the UAE, the event featured 100 participants including people of determination, HR professionals, employers, families, carers and representatives from associations of community organizations such as Al Noor Special Needs, Emirates Down Syndrome, ImInclusive and SEDRA.
The event provides a platform for the exchange of ideas and experiences and aims to create an inclusive and conducive work environment for determined people in the hospitality industry. The agenda includes panel discussions from people of determination as well as employers and inspirational speakers, including Jessica Smith and former Special Olympics CEO Peter Wheeler.
