Omar Bin Sultan Al Olama, UAE Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy and Remote Work Applications, tells Dataquest how the UAE is encouraging talent diversity

However, one of the biggest drawbacks industries often face when adopting and deploying modern technologies is a shortage of talent. Talent doesn’t have to be of a specific nationality or geography. I believe the problem of talent crunch only arises when you focus on a specific talent pool. When you look at things in perspective, you see a growing interest in AI and more talent entering the workforce. When it comes to the UAE, there is an increase in talent, not the other way around. The minister spoke to Dataquest at the GITEX Global 2022 event, which will take place from 10-14 October, and is expected to be attended by 1,40,000 people from over 170 countries.
