City Check-in at Abu Dhabi International Airport is offering discounted rates at its facilities during the busy winter holiday travel season.

“Given the holiday season, we are offering discounted rates. We want to share in your joy by offering holiday discounts on city stay rates,” Morafiq Aviation Services said in a statement.

From Wednesday until further notice, the check-in fee for adult passengers will change from Dh45 to Dh35. Meanwhile, children will be charged Dh25 and infants will be charged Dh15.

Morafiq, a joint venture between Abu Dhabi Airports, Abu Dhabi Ports Group, Capital Travel, Etihad Airport Services, OACIS Middle East and Tourism 365, has been operating at the new facility in Terminal 1 since last month Check-in is at the Abu Dhabi Cruise Terminal at Zayed Port.

During the peak winter travel season, cruise terminal check-in services can help relieve airport congestion, playing a key role in reducing stress on staff and infrastructure, while also providing flexible options for passengers. “We wish all passengers a safe journey,” it said.

The early check-in facility is currently available to departing passengers of Etihad Airways, Wizz Air and EgyptAir. Morafiq said its services will soon be offered to six more airlines, including three Indian carriers, as it seeks to serve more passengers departing from Abu Dhabi International Airport.

Facilities at the cruise terminal are open from 9:00 am to 9:00 pm. Passengers can check-in and drop baggage up to 24 hours in advance and up to 4 hours before the flight departure time. Just like at an airport, passengers can benefit from ancillary services such as purchasing excess baggage allowance, purchasing preferred seats or flight upgrades. There is also ample parking at the cruise terminal.
