Abu Dhabi Golf Club was designed by Peter Harradine in 1998 and opened to the public in 2000.
The 162-hectare site has two courses – the Nationals, the traditional home of the DP World Tour’s HSBC Golf Championships in Abu Dhabi (and the inaugural Heroes Cup in 2023), and the Gardens, a floodlit The par course is a 36-hole nine-hole course.

Outstanding holes include the sixth, a par 4 with water on both sides of the fairway as you approach the green. Additionally, the par-3 12th hole offers golfers another tricky challenge as they play over the water towards the green, which has a bunker behind it and a wall in the distance.

The 18th inning provided a memorable conclusion to the round. This is a 567 yard dogleg right par 5 with a sizable lake to the right of the fairway, bunkers on the way to the green, all set against the majestic clubhouse – this is the One of the ballpark’s most recognizable and iconic features is the venue due to its unique and memorable falcon shape.

The course is open to the public and the Westin Abu Dhabi Golf Resort & Spa offers accommodation and golfing options, interested parties are welcome to email the club for details. A variety of memberships are also available, with an individual premium membership costing AED 36,775 (approximately £8,200 or US$10,000).
