Dubai: To attract talented and skilled workers from around the world, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) has implemented a 5-year green residency visa, which will increase flexibility in the job market
Company directors, executives, engineers, professionals and technicians in the fields of science, technology and humanities will be Emirati workers who can apply for a five-year green visa.
Green visas will be offered to those with a bachelor’s degree earning 15,000 dirhams ($4,084) or more a month, as part of an overhaul to attract new talent to the UAE and encourage residents to stay longer.
The five-year UAE Green Visa is a residency visa that allows its holders to sponsor themselves for five years without the need for corporate sponsorship, and provides a range of benefits for family members. Green visas are approved by the UAE Cabinet under Decision No. 65 of 2022.

For investors or partners, investment approval and proof of investment are required, and approval from local authorities is required.
