The UAE has implemented a five- or ten-year long-stay visa regime for certain categories, including investors, entrepreneurs and professionals, with automatic renewal when conditions are met. * If the applicant is not residing in the UAE, a 6-month visa application is required to complete the Golden Residence procedure.
If the applicant resides in the UAE, the application is made by the same person as the public service or nominating body.
Applicants for a Golden Visa under the ‘Creative Person in the Arts and Culture’ category must meet the following criteria: Applicants must submit evidence of at least three of the following:
A certificate of appreciation/nomination from a renowned international or regional authority in the field.
Received an honorary position in a prestigious international authority for his/her outstanding creativity.
Active member of a prestigious international art organization or association.
His/her creation must be noticed by critics, media or industry professionals.
His/her work has been exhibited in prestigious forums (exhibitions, forums, festivals, events) locally, regionally or internationally.
Golden Visa applicants in the “Media” category must meet the following criteria:
Applicants must submit evidence of at least three of the following:
A certificate of appreciation/nomination from a renowned international or regional authority in the field.
Received an honorary position in a prestigious international authority for his/her outstanding creativity.
Active member of a prestigious international art organization or association.
His/her creation must be noticed by critics, media or industry professionals.
Candidates should have 7 years of working experience in well-known media organizations, be nominated by their work units or media organizations, and regularly publish works (news reports, articles, TV programs, etc.) in media organizations.
