International insurance broker Howden announces an agreement to acquire Franz Gossler Insurance Group, one of the leading insurance brokers in Germany and beyond specializing in film and entertainment insurance.
The transaction, executed by Howden Germany’s specialist broker Howden Caninenberg, reflects the company’s strategic aim to invest in local expertise and position itself as the go-to for national and international clients in the entertainment industry, including sports, film, television and streaming Excellent choice.
Financial details of the transaction were not released.
Established in 1970, Franz Gossler Insurance Group is a high quality owner-operated company specializing in the entertainment, film, event and advertising insurance sectors.
The acquisition of Franz Gossler follows the acquisition of Assimovie earlier this year and makes Howden Italy’s largest television and film production agency. This marks another important step in Howden’s ambition to become Europe’s leading sports, film and entertainment agent.
