Hunter, the world’s first all-terrain supercar to debut in the UAE

[ad_1]

Potential buyers of the Hunter, the world’s first all-terrain supercar, will get an exclusive test drive when it is unveiled in Dubai next month.

The Hunter is a 600-horsepower four-wheel-drive vehicle designed to travel to the most dramatic and demanding desert areas, yet with comfort and style that stands out in downtown traffic and city highways.

It was developed for the Bahrain Raid Xtreme by legendary rally driver Sebastian Loeb in the world’s toughest motorsports races, the Dakar and other rounds of the World Rally Championship.

Prodrive, the world’s leading motorsport and advanced technology business, is building a limited number of Hunters in the UK to the individual specifications of select supercar enthusiasts.

The company announced today that from November 7 to 9, interested buyers will be invited to take the Hunter for an exclusive test drive in Dubai with the company of another world top rally competitor, Nani Roma.

“We want to offer serious supercar enthusiasts a unique opportunity to experience the Hunter’s performance, as well as the two-time Dakar winner, whose input has been instrumental in its development,” said Prodrive Chairman David Richards.

“The UAE is a priority market for Hunter as there are many collectors of luxury cars in the country, as well as beautiful desert terrain and a world-class road system of which Hunter is part”.

“For those looking to explore some of the most spectacular desert landscapes in the world, it offers superior performance and capability compared to other ATVs.

“Equally, it has the comfort and style of a luxury road car, a pleasure to drive on the UAE’s world-class network of roads and highways, and a leader in urban mobility.”

The Hunter rally car on which the supercar is based currently leads the World Rally Championship, with the first of two remaining rounds currently held in Morocco until Thursday.

The supercar that will be driven in Dubai is more powerful than the version driven by nine-time World Rally Championship champion Loeb, with 50 percent more power from a 3.5-liter V6 twin-turbo engine and increased suspension travel to absorb the harshest terrain.

At the same time, it’s also more refined, and its stylish interior race car is more suitable for everyday use.

The Hunter retains the Dakar’s engine, drivetrain and suspension, but for improved drivability, the manual sequential gearbox has been replaced by a six-speed paddle shifter that delivers smooth shifts in milliseconds.

The car is capable of accelerating from 0-100 km/h in less than 4 seconds and has a top speed of nearly 300 km/h. Hunters cost £1.25 million ($1.43 million) plus local taxes. – TradeArabia News Service
