U.S. President Joe Biden mistook Canada for China when he spoke about Canada’s immigration policy in a speech to the Canadian Parliament. In a video of his speech widely circulated on social media, Joe Biden is heard saying: “In America, we are expanding legal pathways for immigration to seek safety on humanitarian Illegal immigration. Human trafficking.”

Members of Canada’s parliament burst into laughter as Joe Biden continued his speech, saying: “I applaud Canada for stepping up similar programs and opening up legal avenues.”
