Abu Dhabi, November 28, 2022: England batsman Alex Hales, in his sixth season in the Abu Dhabi T10, has made a habit of making important knocks for both the national team and Abu Dhabi.

In the latest installment, he beat the Northern Warriors, shooting 44 points on 25 pitches for player of the game and the win.

Reflecting on his performance, a humble Hales said: “Our bowlers have done a fantastic job and it makes the batsman’s job easier.”

He further added that this form was about having intentions from the start, noting that the Abu Dhabi side felt strong. Hales also admitted that he really enjoys the quicker, shorter form of the game.

“I think it’s a format that comes naturally to me. I’ve always liked the aggressive intent of the first ball. Played a little T10 before. This is my third season. It’s something I don’t like to play and Something to watch. Looking forward to future games.”

Hales, who has only returned to the England squad in recent months, said he didn’t think a comeback was possible but was too happy. England have Hales in the squad and recently won the 2022 T20 World Cup in Australia.

“It’s great to be back, I don’t think I’ll be wearing an England shirt again. It’s a huge honor, winning the World Cup along the way is hard to put into words. It’s very special and I haven’t really Thinking about next year. To be honest, I might focus on T10 cricket in the future.”

Hales is sure to expect some more intense white-ball cricket over the next few months, especially in the shorter format.

“I think just playing T20 definitely helps physically, obviously you spend a lot less time on the court. So your body is a lot easier and you can play long games for months and months on end. In the past It’s been a very busy couple of months and I think initially when I was planning the next 12 months I thought I wasn’t going to be in the World Cup so I was supposed to take two months off before that, so it’s definitely going to be demanding. I feel like Fit and really enjoying my cricket right now. So, I feel like I’m in the prime of my career so it’s going to be a very enjoyable couple of months,” signed Hales.
