The ICA has updated the pre-travel approval system for inbound passengers, including vaccination details.
The National Emergency Crisis and Disaster Management Authority (NCEMA) said on Tuesday that from August 5, the UAE will relax restrictions on inbound passengers from six countries. Fully vaccinated residence visa holders from India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Nigeria and Uganda can return to the UAE.

The official media agency WAM stated that residents must have received two doses of the coronavirus vaccine in the UAE, and it should have been 14 days since the second dose of vaccine.

Certain categories of unvaccinated residents, including health care workers, education professionals, and students, have also been allowed to return as long as they have been approved by the Federal Identity and Citizenship Administration (ICA).

After that, ICA updated its pre-travel approval system for inbound passengers to include details of vaccination. The travel agency told Khaleej Times that the UAE authorities have implemented strict review procedures during the ICA seeking approval stage.

The following are the documents and passenger details required for approval:
Step 1: Fill in applicant information
>Applicant information includes name, gender, date of birth, place of birth, estimated date of arrival, port of arrival and departure country, email and other detailed information.
>A QR code will be sent to your email address.Please make sure the email entered is correct
Step 2: Fill in passport information
>The applicant must fill in the passport type, validity period, date of issuance, number and country of issuance
Step 3: Fill in the UAE address
>Provide UAE local address and mobile phone number
Step 4: Fill in the date of vaccination and PCR test
> ICA provides eight vaccines in the form for residents to choose from: SputnikV, Janssen (Johnson & Johnson), Moderna, Novavax, OxfordUni AstraZeneca, PfizerBioNTech, Sinopharm and CoronaVac.
>Applicants must fill in the dates they received the first, second and third doses (if applicable). The date of the PCR test and the date of the test result must also be mentioned.
Step 5: Upload files
>Passport pictures, personal pictures and PCR test results must be uploaded. The Covid-19 vaccination card is optional.
Step 6: Declaration
>Click on the website statement button to declare full compliance with the laws of the UAE Health Authority and confirm that all attached documents are correct.
Step 7: Click Send
