IHG Hotels & Resorts, the world’s leading hotel company, has signed a management agreement with Saudi Investment Group and Marketing Company (Sigmac), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Ghazzawi Group, for its second Hotel Indigo in Jeddah.
Hotel Indigo Jeddah will open in the first quarter of 2028 and will include 267 hotel rooms and 173 serviced apartments. The agreement signed at the Future Hotel Summit (FHS) in Dubai is part of IHG’s continued expansion in the region and the Saudi Arabian hotel market, in line with Vision 2030.
The new hotel’s presence in the cultural and historical heart of the country underscores IHG’s strong lifestyle proposition and is ready to meet the future needs of a variety of guests visiting the country. True to the Hotel Indigo brand identity, the hotel will have a distinct personality, drawing inspiration from its multicultural location as well as the places, people and ideas that surround it.
The hotel will be developed as part of the Sigmac mixed-use development on Prince Sultan Road. The development will be one of Jeddah’s most iconic mixed-use destinations with upscale hotels, residences, offices, retail and entertainment.
Following the Saudi government’s investment in Jeddah under Vision 2030 – by redeveloping the waterfront and enhancing connectivity to the airport and high-speed trains, the hotel will become an ideal destination for domestic tourists. In addition, Jeddah is an important link between the holy cities and the hotel will provide guests with access to the Medina and Mecca.
In addition to beautifully designed guest rooms, the hotel will feature a neighborhood café, lobby lounge, health club and swimming pool. Additionally, business guests can make use of meeting rooms and printing facilities.

Founded in 2004, Hotel Indigo now has over 120 hotels in over 20 countries, with over 100 more in the pipeline, across India, the Middle East and Africa. Last year, IHG opened Hotel Indigo Downtown Dubai, the first Hotel Indigo in the region. Hotel Indigo Jeddah joins the brand’s growing pipeline, including hotels in Doha and Oman.
IHG currently operates 37 hotels in Saudi Arabia under 5 brands including: InterContinental, Crowne Plaza, Holiday Inn, Staybridge Suites and voco, 20 of which are under development and are expected to open within the next three to five years . – arab trade news agency
