It’s a wrap. The two-day extravaganza of Bollywood, the International Indian Film Awards and the Academy Awards came to a close on Saturday night at the Etihad Arena on Yas Island, Abu Dhabi.
IIFA Rocks takes place on Friday 26th May, while the main awards night takes place on 27th May.
Both nights were a celebration of all things Bollywood – from fun-filled interactions on the green carpet to energetic performances by our beloved stars including Salman Khan, Nora Fatehi, Varun Dhawan, Rakul Preet Singh and more. And, of course, the fantastic presenters Farah Khan and Rajkummar Rao from IIFA Rocks, and Abhishek Bachchan and Vicky Kaushal from the main awards night, who entertained the audience throughout both nights.

The awards night also celebrated Bollywood’s best actors and films. Hrithik Roshan wins Best Actor (Male) for his role in critically acclaimed film Vikram Veda (We love it too!), while Alia Bhatt is known for her role in Gangubai Kathiwadi.

The late actor Irrfan Khan’s sons Babil Khan and Shantanu Maheshwari are both Carla and Gangubai Kathiwadi, respectively. Khushali Kumar wins Best Debut Feature (Female) Dhokha: Round D corner.
Among other things, IIFA celebrates the best in the music industry. Shreya Ghoshal won Best Replay Singer (Female) for this song rashia from Brahmastra: Part I – Shiva Won Best Replay Singer (Male) with Arijit Singh Xaria From the same movie, directed by Ayan Mukerji, starring Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt.
Even after all the achievers took home their respective awards, the night continued until Bollywood’s beloved Bhaijaan delivered a stunning performance.
Salman, who performed on stage with the hugely popular dance group Quick Style, earned them money by syncing steps with the troupe in all of his famous songs, old and new. The 57-year-old actor continued to perform, even with a group of kids, and his performance lasted nearly 15 minutes.The audience cheered for joy, just for a glimpse Bajrangi Bhaijaan actor. (Ah! Salman’s energies did not end there. He walked up to all those sitting in front, from Nora Fathi to Kabir Khan, and charmed them with his simple dance moves while urging them to follow. Then he went to his mother, Salma Khan, kissed her on the forehead, held the hands of his nephews and nieces, and danced with them. Ladies and gentlemen, that’s the last act, the end of a show.
