IIFA 2023 to be held in Abu Dhabi next year; Salman Khan, Varendhawan to attend: Indian Tribune

The International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) announced on Thursday that the upcoming 23rd IIFA Weekend and Awards will be held at Yas Island in Abu Dhabi in February 2023.

The film extravaganza will be held on the island of the United Arab Emirates for the second time in a row.

Famous movie celebrities such as Salman Khan, Varun Dhawan, Karan Johar and Kriti Sanon will all be present at the event.

IIFA 2023 will be held in partnership with the Abu Dhabi Department of Culture and Tourism (DCT Abu Dhabi) and Miral, one of the leading creators of immersive destinations and experiences in Abu Dhabi.

IIFA Vice-President Noreen Khan said that following the successful hosting of IIFA on Yas Island, they are delighted to bring more magic to the new annual event next year.

“Thanks to fantastic partners Miral and DCT, this year’s IIFA was an amazing experience. Coming back two years later, we are really working hard to deliver the best live entertainment yet again. The best part was witnessing it in any way throughout the weekend Or everyone who went through the event had a positive experience.

Khan said: “Everyone who had a great time in Abu Dhabi this year has overwhelmed us with compliments and comments we’ve never seen before, so we’re delighted and excited to bring it all back again, but next year will bring even more. A lot of magic.” in a statement.

Saleh Mohamed Al-Geziry, Director of DCT Tourism Abu Dhabi, said they were honoured to host the IIFA Weekend again and present the Etihad Arena with the award.

“With the world’s film industry’s eyes on us, we have a fantastic opportunity to share Abu Dhabi’s exciting nightlife, inspiring cultural experiences and rejuvenating getaways with the world. February’s awards will only elevate us Reputation as the world’s premier centre for leisure, entertainment and business events,” said Al-Geziry.

Organizers will announce the date of the event soon.

According to a press release, people can now buy tickets to the biggest three-day awards ceremony at https://www.etihadarena.ae/en/ starting Friday.

Prices range from 100 AED to 1,500 AED.
