Indore (Mahya Pradesh): To strengthen the academic relationship between India and the UAE, Indian Institute of Management Indore has joined forces with Abu Dhabi School of Management (ADSM), one of the leading educational institutions in the UAE.
The MoU was signed by Professor Himanshu Rai, Director of IIM Indore, and Professor Abdullah El-Kwafi Abonamah, Chairman of ADSM.
Rai noted that ADSM aims to develop entrepreneurial managers and leaders with international standard knowledge and skills to contribute to sustainable socio-economic development in the knowledge economy. “This is in line with IIM Indore’s mission to develop socially conscious leaders, managers and entrepreneurs who contribute to nation-building,” he said.
This connection with ADSM will provide a platform for students from both countries to come together to learn and share experiences, cultures and values. “We plan to offer joint programmes and dual degree programmes which will be subject to the Academic Accreditation Council of the UAE Ministry of Education,” he said.
The association also includes student and teacher exchange programs, promotes activities that encourage joint research, exchange of educational data for training purposes, and conducts lectures, conferences and seminars.
Abonamah is delighted with the partnership with IIM Indore. He said the partnership would help the two institutions to mutually benefit from significant achievements in research, education and international cooperation. “We strongly believe that our partnership with IIM Indore will further increase opportunities for collaborative research, in addition to facilitating and encouraging exchanges between academic staff and students,” he said.
A press release issued by IIM Indore said the MoU, which is valid for five years, will strengthen the academic relationship between IIM Indore and ADSM and contribute to research where academicians from both countries come together and contribute to mutual interest.
