The helicopter of former Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan was forced to make an emergency landing on Tuesday due to technical problems near the Rawalpindi district of Punjab province. According to sources quoted by the Express Tribune, Pakistan Justice Movement (PTI) chief Imran had suffered a “technical malfunction” in his helicopter as he returned to the capital Islamabad from Dera Ismail Khan.
According to reports, the incident occurred near the town of Adiara in the Rawalpindi district.
“People’s Leader Imran Khan! Chairman Imran Khan’s conversation with locals after the helicopter landed near a village in Adiyara while returning from Dera Ismail Khan,” PTI later tweeted.

Khan was embroiled in a political battle with Sheikh Baz Sharif’s current government, accompanied by other party leaders.
All leaders remained safe during the emergency landing as the pilots showed calm and avoided possible accidents, the report said.
The ousted prime minister travelled by road to his Banigala residence, according to reports.
Khan visited Dihan district in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province to distribute relief aid to flood victims. After repairs, his helicopter will be delivered to Nurhan Air Force Base on Sunday morning, the Tribune reported.
Last month, a plane carrying Pakistan’s former Prime Minister Khan survived an emergency landing due to a technical problem in the air.

According to Pakistani media reports, the incident occurred when Imran Khan took a special plane to Gujranwala to attend a rally.
To avoid a crash, the plane’s pilot contacted the control tower and managed to land the plane safely. After the emergency landing, Khan continued by road to Gujranwala.
