New Delhi, 29 November (IANS): The inaugural edition of ILT20 in the UAE kicks off on January 13, when Dubai Capitals take on Abu Dhabi Knights at the Dubai International Stadium, with the final scheduled for February 12 at the same stadium.
There will be 34 games in total – 30 at the league stage, followed by four playoff games. A total of 16 matches will be played in Dubai, with Abu Dhabi’s Sheikh Zayed Stadium hosting 10 and Sharjah International Stadium hosting eight. The doubleheader has been lined up for five days, all weekend.
The six-team match will feature all the teams – Abu Dhabi Knights (Kolkata Knight Riders), Desert Vipers (Lancer Capital), Dubai Capitals (GMR), Gulf Giants (Adani Sportsline), MI Emirates (Reliance Industries) and Sharjah Warriors (Capri Global) – play the other teams twice, with the top four going to the playoffs. After that, there will be a knockout and two qualifiers – just like in the IPL – to determine the two finalists.
On single-race days, games will kick off at 6pm local time (1930 hours IST), while on double-header days, the first match will start at 2pm local time (1530 hours IST).

ILT20 will feature some big names such as Sunil Narine, Andre Russell, Kieron Pollard, Trent Boult, Alex Hales, Moeen Ali, Wanindu Hasaranga, Sikandar Raza and Dasun Shanaka.
