IND vs UAE HIGHLIGHTS, U19 Women’s T20 World Cup: India beats UAE by 122 runs; stays on top of Group D

Chopra ends her over by giving just six from this over as India registers a big 122-run victory over the United Arab Emirates in the Group D game to stay at the top of the points table.

Captain Shafali comes into the attack. A brilliant over by her to keep the batters in check as she also gave only two runs from her over. The UAE team needs to show some intent here as the overs are passing by very quickly and it has been quite some time since when UAE scored a boundary.

Another change in the bowling. Archana Devi comes into the attack as she replaces Titas Sadhu. She kept the tight line, wicket to wicket and gave only three singles from her over. We are halfway down in the UAE chase and now it looks certain that UAE will lose to India by a big margin.

Mannat Kashyap continues. Kashyap to Rinitha Rajith, OUT! Stumped. Flighted delivery, Rinitha misses it and excellent work by Richa Ghosh behind the wickets to stump her within a flash. UAE is in deep trouble now. Only 2 off this over.

Titas Sadhu bowls fourth over on the trot. Only two runs were given from her last over of the spell. She ends her spell with the figures of 4-1-14-1.

The first bowling change for India today, Mannat Kashyap comes in for Shabnam MD. Three singles off her over as UAE is not able to find any boundary for quite some time now.

Titas Sadhu bowls her third straight over. An outswinger to start the over, dot ball. Sadhu to Dharnidharka, OUT! Sadhu gets her first strike, again an outswinger, shaping away gets an outside edge and goes straight to keeper Richa Ghosh, who makes no mistake to catch it. Shabnam MD bowls her third over and gives only two runs from this over as well. Discipline and consistency showed by her to bowl at one spot. UAE suddenly finds it very difficult to score run. UAE 35 for 1 after 5.

Titash Sadhu continues from the other end. Another brilliant over as she gave just a single off the first delivery and kept hitting the outside-off line to make it difficult for Samaira Dharnidharka to score. UAE was 30 in 2 overs but now it is on 33 after 4 overs.

Shabnam continues from the other end. She looks much more confident in this over as she starts with a fuller length delivery but could not control the line as it goes for a wide. But a brilliant over to follow as she gave only one single from the rest of the over. Confidence booster over for her.

Titas Sadhu comes into the attack from the other end. Sadhu starts with a short of length delivery, outside off and Keny places it down to the third man and ran three runs. Sadhu to Samaira, two runs off her pads. leg byes. Sadhu to Samaira, FOUR! Great way to get off the mark as she is the fifth batter after Shafali, Shweta, Richa and Satish to get off the marks via a boundary! Good feat to continue. S Dharnidharka bowls the final over of this innings. Brilliant over by Dharnidharka as she gives only six runs from this over and also took the wicket of Gongadi Trisha. She mixed the pace and varied her line to decide the batters as India could only manage to take just six runs from the over and finish with the score of 219 for three after 20 overs.

Mahika Gaur comes to bowl her last over and she starts with a wicket. Much-needed breakthrough for UAE as Richa Ghosh departs on 49 while she tries to scoop the ball but the leading edge goes straight to the keeper. Gongadi Trisha comes in at number four and starts with back-to-back boundaries. Two doubles and a single from the last three balls to finish this over with 13 runs.

Samaira Dharnidharka bowls her third bowler. 14 off the over as Sehrawat starts with a four and Richa hits Dharnidharka for SIX! This is brilliant batting from Richa and Shweta as they led India to 200 runs with 2 overs left. Both of them accelerated at the right time as India now looks for at least 225 runs from here.

Mahika Gaur comes back in the attack. Mahika to Richa, FOUR! this is a top shot from the wicket-keeper batter. Gaur to Richa goes up and dropped again! Siya Gokhale this time slipped it and looks like she might have hurt herself during the process. 11 from the over.

Indhuja Nandakumar comes to bowl her fourth and last over of the spell. Nandakumar to Richa Ghosh, SIX! she goes down the ground and sends the ball out of the part for a maximum. Vaishnave Mahesh bowls her third. This is a decent comeback from UAE at the moment. Captain Theertha Satish is using her spinners to break the flow of the run and it seems to have worked this time. Mahesh bowled a brilliant over and gave only three runs. 12 gone, India 137 for 1.

Indhuja Nandakumar comes to bowl her third over. Indhuja kept her length full and mixed her pace to only give four singles from the first five balls. Indhuja to Richa Ghosh, FOUR! Richa cuts the shorter length delivery over point for a boundary. 8 runs from this over.

Another bowling change, Archana Supriya comes into the attack. Archana to Richa, FOUR! Ghosh goes on backfoot and punches it between covers for a boundary. A quiet over from Archana, still 9 runs off it.

Indhuja Nandakumar bowls her 2nd over. Shafali smokes her for back-to-back boundaries. She starts with a SIX, down the leg and then hits her for four over covers. Nandakumar to Shafali, OUT! Lavanya Keny comes into the attack for the first time today. Keny to Shafali, SIX! she goes down on one knee and smokes it for a maximum. Shafali gives the strike back to Shweta in the last delivery of the over and Shweta makes it count by hitting it for a four to collect 19 from this over.

Vaishnave Mahesh comes back in the attack. A couple of runs for Shweta from the first delivery. Mahesh to Shweta, another double. Next ball she gives the strike back to captain Shafali. Mahika Gaur comes back in the attack after a break. Gaur to Shweta and she steers it away for a single but wait, this is poor cricket from the UAE women’s U-19 team as they overthrow this ball which races away to the boundary. 5 off the first ball. Samaira Dharnidharika comes into the attack from the other end. So change on both ends. But no change in the flow of runs for India. Dharnidharka did a decent job to give only two singles in the first four deliveries but Shafali punished the full-toss to register it over the fence for SIX runs! 8 off the over as India crosses the 50-run mark inside 5 overs.

Vaishnave Mahesh comes into the attack. She replaces Mahika Gaur. Shafali is toying with the bowling attack here. She registers three fours off Vaishanve’s first over. Three boundaries along with a single as India nears 50 quite quickly!
