According to the current ranking, Indians can travel to 21 countries without a visa, 128 countries require a visa, and 47 countries can use a visa on arrival, including Thailand, Maldives, Malaysia, Qatar, Azerbaijan, Tanzania, Togo, Uganda, Zimbabwe.
According to the list, which consists of 199 countries, the reason for India’s sharp drop in the ranking and the poor performance of other Asian countries is due to European Union policy. Some countries, such as Serbia, have been under pressure to impose visa requirements for Indian nationals.
This year, United Arab Emirates (UAE) The mobility score is the highest at 181, ranking first. This is followed by Sweden, Germany, Finland, Luxembourg, Spain, France, Italy, the Netherlands and Austria with a combined mobility score of 174.
in Asia, South Korea The highest score is 174 points, ranking 12th on the list. Japan ranked 26th with 172 points. Almost every other Asian country has dropped in the rankings.
Compared with other large economies, China’s performance is not too good. Ranked 118th in the passport index personal ranking. “Thus, the lack of visa-free agreements with influential blocs such as the European Union or regional rivals such as India and Japan continues to limit the strength of its passports,” according to the report.
Commenting on India and China’s dismal performance, Passport Index co-founder Hrant Boghossian said: “After historic gains in global mobility over the past two years, with many countries escaping pandemic-related visa controls, the economic slowdown is coming this year. Growth so far. Passport liquidity is declining in both China and India, but we don’t think the full impact of China’s reopening has yet been felt.”
