India: NCB takes another defendant, Aryan Khan, to Arthur Prison-News

The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) took Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan and other defendants in connection with the cruise ship drug attack to Arthur Road Prison on Friday.

The Mumbai court also stated that it began hearing Aryan Khan’s bail request on Friday.

The court further stated that the case will now be heard by the Special Narcotics and Psychotropic Drugs (NDPS) court.

Earlier, the Mumbai Coastal Court detained 8 people including Aryan Khan, Albaz Seth Merchant, Munmun Dhamecha, Vikrant Chhoker, Ismeet Singh, Nupur Sarika, Gomit Chopra and Mohak Jaswal, and remanded them to NCB detention facility until October 7. Today, they appeared in court again and then remanded them to judicial detention.

They were arrested on October 3 for drug seizures on the cruise ship.

According to the NCB, according to the Narcotics and Psychotropic Substances Act (NDPS Act) Sections 8C, 20B, 27 (penalties for consuming any narcotic drugs or psychotropic substances), 35 (presumption of guilty mental state), eight people have been booked, 28 and 29.

The 8C of the NDPS Act refers to the prohibition on the production, manufacture, possession, sale, purchase, transportation, storage, use, consumption, interstate import, interstate export, import to India, export from India or transfer of any narcotic drugs or psychotropic substances. , And Article 20B deals with penalties for the production, manufacture, possession, sale, purchase, transportation, interstate import, interstate export, or use of marijuana.

Attorney Satish Maneshinde, who defended Aryan Khan, said in court: “The first defendant, Aryan Khan was invited to the cruise party. However, he did not have a boarding pass. He did not have any seats or cabins there. Secondly, according to the seizure, Nothing was found on him. He was just arrested for chatting.”

The NCB also arrested Abdul Qadir Sheikh, Shreyas Nair, Manish Darya, Avin Sahu and others.
