India reports lowest active Covid case in 186 days-News

According to data updated by the Federal Ministry of Health of India on Wednesday, India recorded 26,964 new coronavirus infections, bringing the total number of Covid-19 cases to 3,35,31,498, while active cases fell to 3,01,989, the lowest level in 186 days .

According to the data updated at 8 am, the number of people recovering from the disease surged to 3,27,83,741, the case fatality rate was 1.33%, and the death toll climbed to 4,45,768, with 383 new deaths.

The Ministry of Health stated that active cases accounted for 0.90% of the total number of infections, the lowest level since March 2020, while the national Covid-19 recovery rate was 97.77%, the highest level since March 2020.

In 24 hours, the number of active Covid-19 cases decreased by 7,586 cases.

As many as 15,92,395 tests were conducted on Tuesday, bringing the country’s cumulative total of tests to detect Covid-19 to 55,67,54,282.

The daily positive rate was 1.69%. In the past 23 days, this proportion was less than 3%. The weekly positive rate was 2.08%. According to the ministry, this percentage has been below 3% in the past 89 days.

So far, under the nationwide Covid-19 vaccination campaign, the country’s cumulative dose of vaccination has exceeded 826 million.

More than 70% of deaths in the country are caused by comorbidities.

“Our data is being checked with the Medical Research Council of India,” the ministry said on its website, adding that the distribution of data in each state is subject to further verification and verification.
