Dubai residents can only land in Dubai, while Abu Dhabi residents must return to the capital
Air India said on Saturday that stranded Indian passengers returning to the UAE can only land in the emirate where they live.
This means that Dubai residents can only land in Dubai. Similarly, residents of Abu Dhabi can only return to the capital.
In the new regulations for Dubai resident visa holders, the travel update said: “Please note that currently only passengers holding a Dubai resident visa and GDRFA approval can arrive at Dubai Airport. Passengers holding other Emirates resident visas are not allowed to enter Dubai Airport .”
The latest news from other Emirates residence visa holders stated: “Only passengers holding an Abu Dhabi resident visa and approved by the ICA can arrive at Abu Dhabi Airport. Passengers holding a Dubai resident visa are not allowed to enter Abu Dhabi Airport.”
