The UAE-India cooperation on climate aims to support India’s ambition to achieve 450 gigawatts (GW) of installed renewable energy capacity by 2030, and is in line with the UAE’s ambition to expand its low- and zero-carbon energy capabilities.
The UAE delegation also met with Indian business leaders to discuss new opportunities, especially in decarbonization and climate solutions.

The two sides also acknowledged that, with the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding on Climate Change, the two sides will explore how to strengthen bilateral cooperation on climate action, especially in the areas and activities identified in the agreement.
