According to local media reports, after the violence in Uttar Pradesh, India, at least 8 people, including 4 farmers, were killed after a car convoy linked to the son of a federal minister ran over a group of farmers protesting the farm law.
The farmer’s clothing stated that the son of Ajay Kumar Mishra, Deputy Minister of the Interior of India, was in one of the cars in the accident in the Rahimpurkeri district of Uttar Pradesh. However, Misra rejected this statement.
The police and several other regional officials have confirmed the death toll, but did not share details of the accident that occurred on the Tikonia-Bambirpur highway about 130 kilometers (81 miles) from the state capital Lucknow.
“Eight people died in Lakhimpur [Kheri] Incident,” ANI News Agency quoted senior police officer Arun Kumar Singh as saying.
Two farmers were hit and killed by a car. According to the party and officials, in the ensuing violence, three members of the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party, a driver and two other farmers were killed.
Since Sunday morning, farmers have held protests in Rahimpur Kheri against the visit of Misra and Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya, both of whom belong to the BJP.
Farmers’ costumes claimed that when the upcoming parade ran over a group of protesters, they were holding a demonstration on the road, causing their 10-month-long protest against the agricultural law to escalate sharply. They said it would benefit businesses. The price is millions of farmers.

The peasant leaders demanded action against the perpetrators and removed the minister.
“We ask MoS Home [Mishra] He was removed from his cabinet position and charged with the murder of his son who drove his vehicle over the farmers and other people involved in the incident,” the farmer leader Dashanpal told Al Jazeera by phone.
“We also request an order to be investigated of this terrible incident under the supervision of a Supreme Court judge.”
Pal said that the peasants’ union called for a nationwide protest against the incident.
The main farmer leader Rakesh Tikait condemned the violence and called on the government to arrest those responsible for the death of the farmer.

“The incident in Rahimpur Keri is very sad. It once again exposed the brutal and undemocratic face of the government,” Tikait wrote on Twitter.
In August, in northern Haryana, a farmer was killed in a police operation protesting the farm law and 10 others were injured.
Violent picture
After the incident, angry farmers burned three cars, including the minister’s son. Images shared on social media showed that the vehicle was on fire and an apparently injured man was lying on the ground, while another video showed a man being carried away. However, Al Jazeera could not confirm the authenticity of the video clips.
Mishra denied that his son was involved in the incident. “My son did not appear at the scene of the Lakhimpur Kheri incident. I have video evidence. The stone was thrown on the BJP worker’s car and the car overturned. Two people died under it. After that, the BJP The workers were lynched to death,” PTI News Agency quoted him as saying.
The situation in the region remains tense, as the authorities temporarily pause Internet services and deploy additional forces to maintain law and order.
Yogi Adityananth, Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, called the incident “regrettable” and said that an investigation is ongoing.
