India TV, India’s most-watched Hindi news channel, has expanded its global reach by launching itself on Etisalat’s UAE-based premium content platform, E Life. This channel is available for eLife Asiana packages: eLife Asiana, Asiana Lite, Asiana Lite and Asiana Premium are all on IPTV + OTT platforms (IPTV and Switch TV), channel number: 549.

Having established a leadership position in the Indian TV market, Indian TV is looking to expand its international and digital footprint and this launch in the UAE is a natural step in that direction. The channel has launched in North America and will soon be available in other major markets, with a large diaspora audience keeping them connected to news from home. The channel is looking to innovate with local content and launch big shows in local time zones to create better affinity for brands.

With eLife Connect, Indian expats living in the UAE can watch Indian TV 24/7 and stay informed about news coverage of India and the rest of the world. Indian TV has programs such as “Aap Ki Adalat” (weekends) and “Aaj Ki Baat” (weekdays), which are hosted by Rajat Sharma, chairman and editor-in-chief of Indian TV, and are well received by the masses.
