INK Hotel, a 4-star boutique hotel on Dubai’s Al Jaddaf waterfront, celebrated its first anniversary this January and looks back at its achievements as it seizes further opportunities.
Over the past year, the five-storey hotel has earned a unique reputation as a stylish, sustainable and disruptive brand promoting convivial and inclusive hospitality in Dubai.
Opened last January, INK Hotel is operating under Covid-19 restrictions and is known for its unique vibe focused on sustainability. Its commitment to sustainability is evidenced by initiatives such as rooftop solar panels, organic key cards, recycled soap dispensers, organic teas and toiletries.
The hotel has also implemented a zero-plastic program, using only glass water bottles in its guest rooms and in its INK restaurant, Bistro. As a result, the hotel was awarded “Highly Commended” in the “Sustainable Hotel of the Year” category at the Hotel Industry Leadership Awards in March 2022 shortly after opening.
Through community-focused partnerships, and as enthusiastic supporters of local businesses, the hotel has established a roster of local affiliates to ensure top-notch service for guests. Its local partnerships include a partnership with Grandmother Roastery – a local coffee roaster offering specialty coffees, a pet-friendly package for guests at nearby doggy daycare center Cooper’s Crib – and through a partnership with local distributor Hawas Group.
The hotel also offers training for hospitality students at its facility. As a result, INK Hotel has been shortlisted for Breakthrough Hotel of the Year at the 2022 Hotelier Middle East Awards in September 2022, which recognizes hotel properties for their impact in the industry.
INK Hotel is also partnering with local technology company PocketTrainer to revolutionize employee training across the food and beverage industry by sharing and updating internal information on food, beverage and service standards, centralizing communication and more benefits to save time.
In addition to its success, INK Hotel recently attracted an investor to convert the hotel’s entire rooftop into an InfraslimX Studio. The studio will include an innovative wellness area featuring the InfraslimX – a next-generation body shaper incorporating infrared, vacuum, oxygen, ozone, collagen and aromatherapy, designed to burn fat, remove cellulite, slim Firms the skin, builds muscles and detoxifies the body and lymphatic system.
The new facility will include 3 InfraslimX treatment rooms, a massage room and a pop-up gym. The wellness studio, scheduled to open in February 2023, offers hotel guests and external visitors a membership package for a variety of weight loss training and massage services.
“The past year has been full of challenges and we are proud to have successfully connected with our guests and made an impact in Dubai’s hospitality industry,” said Judit Toth, General Manager of INK Hotel.
“Our commitment to the environment and dedication to local partnerships has allowed us to win awards and empower guests and employees, while furthering our mission to develop a hotel with a room for all. We recently attracted an investor in our The creation of a wellness studio on the rooftop demonstrates our continued focus on the growth potential of the industry and what we hope to continue developing over the next year.”
Since the opening of INK Hotel in early 2022, Judit has won the prestigious ‘Hotelier’ category at the 2022 Mastercard Women in SME Leaders Awards and has been named to the Middle East Hotelier General Manager Power 100 2022, which recognizes Best Hotel in the Middle East, General Manager East. – trade arab news agency
