Meta-owned social media platform Instagram It crashed on Monday, with many users around the world complaining of a bug that showed their accounts were “suspended”. Users were having trouble logging back into their accounts, some venting on Twitter with screenshots of the Account Suspension page.
Instagram has taken note of the incident and assured users that they are investigating the issue. “We know some of you are having issues accessing your Instagram account. We are investigating the matter and apologise for the inconvenience,” the social media platform’s communications team tweeted road.
Meanwhile, a few others got creative and made memes during the blackout. They shared it on Twitter and soon the hashtag “#instagramdown” started trending.

Meanwhile, others vented their anger at the frequent crashes of the Meta app, which owns Instagram, WhatsApp and Facebook. Earlier this month, popular messaging platform WhatsApp suffered a two-hour global outage.
