International Entertainment Corp to buy 382 slot machines from RGB to expand Manila casino operations – IAG

Asian gaming investor International Entertainment Corporation (IEC) has reached an agreement with Malaysian gaming equipment distributor RGB to purchase 382 slot machines for its Manila casino.

The total cost of the slot machines, including related licenses and controllers, was $5.7 million, according to details filed Friday with the Hong Kong stock exchange.

They are planned to be installed at the company’s hotel in Manila, New Coast Manila, where IEC has leased the casino space to Philippine gaming regulator PAGCOR.

Announcing the purchase of what it described as various models of slot machines, the IEC said: “The hotel properties leased out by the group are equipped with entertainment equipment including slot machines. Some of these have been installed for many years.

“In order to increase the attractiveness of the entertainment equipment in the hotel, some slot machine games may need to be upgraded and some slot machines may need to be replaced. In addition, due to the relaxation of COVID-19 travel restrictions around the world, the tourism industry in the Philippines has begun to recover, and the group is preparing to expand the number of hotel properties. slot machines to attract and cater to more customers and increase the Group’s revenue from gaming business.”

The company added that deliveries are expected to be made in two batches, with the first batch of machines arriving within four to eight weeks and the second batch, sourced from Sydney, Australia, taking 12 to 18 weeks.
