What do you learn about yourself through your TV role?
I found that I could act. The biggest lesson I can think of from the show is that we’re all human, and ultimately, if we can all accept our differences and respect each other, we’re all normal, but in our own ways.
How do you spend your time when you’re not in school?
My favorite thing to do is ride mine bike Around, into the woods and fly fishing. We live in a peaceful and beautiful area. I play baseball a lot; outfield is my favorite position. I also like to draw and I like science.
I admired the whole kid’s leg and everyone bullied him with kindness; that was a big deal. This article is full of stuff that pretty much any disabled person can relate to. I appreciate that this show is unique and disabled people can actually see themselves on screen because nothing like this has ever happened on TV before.

Everyone loves it. Everyone said it was a fun and relevant show. It’s a show that everyone can watch. My friends at camp can’t wait to pick up my phone and watch Best foot striker.
What’s it like to spend time talking to the real Josh (Sundquist), who I know plays the therapist for your role, fitting him with a new prosthesis?
we are good friends. I love spending time with him on and off set. He’s just an amazing guy, and he’s so funny.
Do you think he is a positive role model?
really. Everything he does on social media, and now on the show, is to spread awareness about amputees. I think what he’s done is great.
How do you feel about people who limit you or others? When it comes to children and adults with disabilities, there are plenty of naysayers.
Well, I guess you just have to prove them wrong. They can say what they want to say. They can say what you can and can’t do, but they don’t know. Someone will imagine in their minds that I can’t do what they do, and the best way to tell them I can do what they can and even better is to prove them wrong.
My hashtag has always been “#nolimits”, I keep saying that. You just have to prove them wrong; they don’t know what you can and can’t do.
Did you get coaching on set?
Yes, there is a regular teacher. His name is Scott and he is the best. Then they connected with my school in Medford, so I was all on the right track. I’m actually a bit ahead in math, so that’s fine.
Why is spreading disability awareness so important to you?
It gives children the opportunity – just like amputees and disabled children – to be comfortable with their own bodies and just know that there are other children like them who can do anything other children can, and just Stay conscious. It all starts with awareness. If they don’t know that and people don’t spread the word, they won’t be able to do it. They won’t have that chance.
What advice do you have for someone who might want to get into acting or entertainment or other difficult and competitive fields?
I would say Give it a try. You never know until you try. If you really think you want to do something, I’ll try it. Try everything you can without a problem. Yes, if you want to play, then if you want to play sports, then play, if you want to be a chess master, play sports, and do it. Don’t be afraid to pursue your dreams. You never know what you can do unless you try.
How do you feel about entering the series? best foot striker Season 2?
I am very happy. It was a lot of fun filming the show and it told a great story. The more seasons there are to spread awareness, the better. I want a season 2. I definitely think there is more to explore, I love it and I hope it comes back.
