Downtown Youngstown went from the city’s entertainment district to the scene of tragedy overnight.

So far, police have not commented much on him, the suspect or what led to the shooting.
21 News pressed for answers on whether enough police officers were patrolling the city centre to keep people safe.
Police could be seen at the scene after a 32-year-old man was shot dead early Sunday morning.
Youngstown police heard gunfire on Federal Street near Hazel.
Police evidence markers show multiple shots being fired.
Councilwoman Anita Davis, the city’s safety committee, said Youngstown has hosted many concerts and events safely and successfully, with thousands in attendance.
She said the city is committed to making it safe for people and families to enjoy all that the city center has to offer.
“Downtown Youngstown is right where the police station is. We have a ton of cameras, and police patrol regularly. There’s additional police, especially on weekends,” stressed Congresswoman Davis.
She told us that if someone is unknowingly targeted, there is nothing the police can do other than gather evidence and go after the suspect.
The nearby OhWow Roger and Gloria Jones Children’s Center was pleased with the extra outdoor security on Silly Science Sunday.
“We do have two Youngstown police officers on Silly Science Sunday, and I can say there are more police circling the event because of the shooting,” said Silly Science Sunday organizer Colleen Ruby.
During that early morning shooting, police found the victim who was taken to hospital and died.
A large crowd gathers, disperses.
Police are appealing for help from all available units as they are busy working for a crowd of thousands at a political rally.
Struthers, Campbell, Boardman and Liberty Police responded.
