Macron met with Iranian dissidents Masih Alinejad, Shima Babaei, Roya Piraei and Ladan Boroumand on Friday to discuss ongoing protests in the country. Macron hailed the women as revolutionaries.

“I want to underline our respect and admiration in the context of the revolution they led,” Macron said. according to Asak Osatthe London-based Arab International newspaper.

In response to Macron’s meeting and comments, Kanani criticized the French president and his support for the rebellion.

“It’s amazing that the president of a country claiming freedom has met with a hateful man who is clearly trying to spread hatred and acts of violence and terror in the Islamic Republic of Iran and against Iranian diplomatic establishments and diplomats in recent months,” he said. according to radio france international.

This revolution The incident was sparked in September by the death of a 22-year-old Iranian Kurdish woman, Mahsa Amini, while in police custody in the capital Tehran.

Amini’s arrest for violating Iran’s strict women’s dress code has sparked widespread protests led by women who defied state policy and took to the streets not to show their faces.

The National Council of Resistance of Iran estimated that as many as 200 cities in all 31 provinces participated in the protests.

France is not the only target of Iranian rebuttals. Germany has also been criticized for “disrespecting the sovereignty of other countries, while harboring terrorist and separatist groups hostile to the Islamic Republic”. Earlier, German Chancellor Olaf Schultz slammed the Iranian government’s efforts to suppress the insurgency with violence.

“What kind of government are you shooting at its own citizens? Anyone who does this must expect our resistance,” Scholz on his podcast.

Iranian leaders said in a statement in Tehran that some were “using human rights as the basis of the political game”, while accusing Germany of provocation.
