Iraqi Airlines launches new flights from Baghdad to Abu Dhabi International Airport

Abu Dhabi International Airport (AUH) welcomes new flights between Abu Dhabi and Baghdad, the capital of Iraq, twice a week. The maiden flight was operated by Iraqi Airlines, using Boeing 737-800 aircraft, and landed at Abu Dhabi International Airport (AUH) at 17:00 on Saturday, July 7, local time.

Iraqi Airlines will start with one flight per week, and then increase its number of flights to two flights a week. As travel demand resumes, flights will operate on Saturday and Tuesday.

Francois Bourienne, Chief Commercial Officer of Abu Dhabi Airport, said: “The opening of a new flight connecting Abu Dhabi and Baghdad will support the Iraqi community in the UAE and provide them with a smoother travel experience. The outbound flight will depart from Abu Dhabi International Airport at 18:00 local time on Saturday and Tuesday and land in Baghdad at 19:15 local time. The return flight will depart from Baghdad International Airport at 13:45 LT on Saturday and Tuesday and land at Abu Dhabi International Airport at 17:00 LT.
