Andrew Balbirnie’s Ireland are not at their best in qualifying for the 2023 Cricket World Cup, having played three games and lost all of them and currently sit atop the Group B standings fourth. They come into this game after losing to Sri Lanka by 133 runs. Mark Adair led the bowling attack in the first innings and stripped four wickets in his 10-over spells. In the second inning, they were chasing 326 runs, but the batting line failed to do so. With slim chances of qualifying for the World Cup, they will be hoping to finish qualifying on a high note.
