Several media outlets reported on Saturday that Chinese President Xi Jinping is currently under house arrest, adding that the capital, Beijing, is currently under military control. The reports were not corroborated by credible Chinese media, nor were they independently verified by Indian television.

The report further said that international and domestic flights to and from Beijing have been halted, and Beijing’s traffic with the rest of the world has been cut off.the claim added President Xi Jinping He was placed under house arrest after being removed from the post of commander-in-chief of the People’s Liberation Army.

A report in News Highland Vision said former Chinese President Hu Jintao and former Premier Wen Jibao persuaded former Standing Committee member Song Ping to join them and take control of the Central Guard Bureau. The CGB is responsible for the security of the President and the Standing Committee of the Chinese Communist Party.

An army convoy to Beijing?

Videos emerged on social media from unverified accounts showing large military convoys patrolling around Beijing. The tweet mentioned that President Xi Jinping had been removed from office.

The video added that the huge army convoy was about 80 kilometers long and was heading for Beijing. Rumour has it that PLA military vehicles will head to Beijing on September 22. The convoy allegedly departed from Huanlai County near Beijing and ended up in the city of Zhangjiakou.

Xi Jinping detained at airport: report
