STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — “Saturday Night Live” is getting another new episode this week, marking its third in a row.
On April 15, actress Ana De Armas will make her hosting debut and Karol G will be the musical guest. De Armas is known for his roles in the films Knockout, Blonde and No Time to Die.
Season 48 of “Saturday Night Live” kicked off on October 1, with actor Miles Teller stepping down as host and Kendrick Lamar rocking as musical guest.
On October 8, Brendan Gleeson hosted the show with musical guest Willow. On October 15, Megan Thee Stallion was chosen as host and musical guest. Musician Jack Harlow also has a part-time job on the October 29 episode of the show’s acclaimed Halloween.
On November 5, actress/comedian Amy Schumer hosted for the third time, while Steve Lacey made his musical guest appearance for the first time. Comedian Dave Chappelle is welcomed back to Studio 8H for his third hosting gig on November 12th. He was also joined by hip-hop group Black Star.
Actress Keke Palmer makes her “SNL” debut on Dec. 3 with musical guest SZA. On December 10, “SNL” superstars Steve Martin and Martin Short host, while Brandi Carlyle returns as musical guest.
December 17th is the last episode of 2022. Actor Austin Butler is the host and Lizzo is the musical guest. To the audience’s surprise, 11-year cast member Cecily Strong announced that the episode would be her last and said she was leaving the show.
January 21, 2023 The first episode is hosted by Aubrey Plaza and musical guest Sam Smith. Actor Michael B. Jordan hosts with musical guest Lil Baby on Jan. 28.
On February 4th, Pedro Pascal hosted Coldplay as the musical guest. Actor Woody Harrelson hosts the Feb. 25 show, with Jack White as the musical guest.
The first show in March featured Super Bowl Champion Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, with musical support provided by Kelsey Ballerini on March 4. Next up is “Wednesday” actress Jenna Ortega, who made her “Saturday Night Live” debut on March 11. She was joined by musical guest The 1975.
“Abbott Elementary” actress Quinta Brunson makes her “Saturday Night Live” debut on April 1. Joining the Emmy, Golden Globe and SAG winners is rapper Lil Yachty. Saturday Night Live legend Molly Shannon returns to her old haunts on April 8 with musical guest Jonas Brothers.

BTW: In case you didn’t know, Staten Islander Colin Yost is the longtime co-anchor of “Weekend Update.” Jost has been working on the desk since 2014 and performing since 2005. Staten Island resident Pete Davidson left the show last May after eight seasons.
