Ishraq Hospitality appoints Tarouilly as acting CEO

Ishraq Hospitality, the asset management and hospitality arm of Mohamed & Obaid AlMulla Group, announced that Erwan Tarouilly, current chief financial officer, has been appointed acting chief executive officer.

The intercompany transfers reflect his strong performance since assuming the role of CFO in 2019 and the success of his previous 18-month tenure within the organization.

With over 25 years of management experience and a deep-rooted passion for the hospitality industry, the insight, expertise and knowledge Erwan Tarouilly now brings to the role of acting CEO is second to none. Furthermore, his in-depth knowledge of the regional and international landscape, especially in Europe, Africa and the Middle East, means he is ideally positioned to lead the company into its next stage of growth.

As acting CEO, Erwan Tarouilly will be directly responsible for driving the success and profitability of Ishraq Hospitality, overseeing the day-to-day operations of IHG’s eight properties.

Erwan Tarouilly is a dynamic, results-oriented professional with an impressive track record and strong communication, negotiation and technical skills. A seasoned leader who prides himself on his ability to inspire and motivate the teams around him, his dedication to helping others unlock their full potential and thrive in a work environment is unparalleled.

Erwan Tarouilly’s career in the UAE began in 2015 when he was the Group Finance Director of Al Habtoor Hospitality, leading all financial and administrative areas of the company.

Erwan Tarouilly joined Ishraq Hospitality as Chief Financial Officer in May 2019, successfully leading the company’s finance and operations during the Covid-19 pandemic, achieving a positive net operating profit despite significant challenges.

A French national, he holds a Master of Internal Auditing and Financial Control and a Master of Science in Economics and Management from the University of Lyon. – arab trade news agency
