Ishraq raises the bar with new sustainability agenda

In an effort to reduce its carbon footprint, Ishraq Hospitality, the asset management and hospitality arm of the Mohamed & Obaid Almulla Group, has launched an ESG committee and ambitious targets for 2023 in the Arabian Tourism Market (ATM).

Ishraq Hospitality’s ESG Committee has set the following goals for 2023: 50% less paper, 60% less single-use plastic, 2% less food waste and 1.5% less CO2 emissions than 2022 compared to 2022 In 2022, 19,000 hours of collective volunteering, culminating in a commitment to plant 5,000 trees by the end of 2023. A set of long-term goals will be announced shortly.

Ishraq Hospitality is committed to continuous investment in enhancing guest experience. Recently, the brand’s Holiday Inn Express Dubai and Crowne Plaza Dubai Jumeirah launched the latest version of its cloud-based WIFI program, Aruba Central.

These agreements represent a significant opportunity for Ishraq Hospitality to expand its footprint and contribute to our ambitious growth plans to manage 15 hotels by 2026.

Additionally, Ishraq Hospitality will be awarding environmental awards to 20 of its top producers during ATM 2023. The award recognizes the outstanding contribution of top producers to the brand.
